A Special Evening with Rural Women at Nikau Café & Bar

Last Monday evening, Nikau Café & Bar had the pleasure of welcoming an inspiring group of Rural Women for an evening of good food, conversation, stories and connection.

There is something very special about bringing people together around a table, and the evening was a wonderful reminder of the strength, knowledge and stories that exist within our rural communities.

We were privileged to hear from our guest speakers, who generously shared their experiences, knowledge and stories with everyone gathered. The conversations that followed were just as valuable, with plenty of laughter, memories shared and new connections made.

The evening was particularly special for Nikau owner Gail, who also spoke on the night. Gail has long understood the importance of community, particularly in rural areas where people supporting one another can make such a difference.

A huge thank you to the Rural Women who joined us, to our wonderful speakers, Charlotte and Sarah and Sponsors Zentec for giving their time, and to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.

Events like this are exactly what we love seeing at Nikau – our café filled with people connecting, sharing stories, enjoying great food and simply enjoying being together.

Nikau Café & Bar is more than a place to stop for a meal. We love being a place where our Golden Bay community can gather.
